Background
This project is held during the Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) program in my 6th semester of university. I collaborated with 3 more students from all over Indonesia for approximately 3 months. I was given the opportunity to be a group leader. Together with the team, we implemented significant changes to the Kitabisa application, enhancing user experience through various new features such as short videos for fundraiser updates and a sensitive content filter to improve user comfort.
Problem

Company X is the owner of an education platform that provides various online courses to prepare digital talents in Indonesia by providing courses in Programming, Digital Marketing, UI/UX Design, Product Management, and many more. However, company X has experienced a decline in revenue since 1 year ago and the research team has conducted a small study where the results are as follows.
Users are unhappy with the interface
The platform is complicated to use
Loading takes a long time
Difficult to find motivation to learn
With the results of this research, Company X wants to completely overhaul its platform with the aim of making it more user friendly with an attractive appearance and can increase learning motivation when using its platform.
Goals
Enhance user satisfaction
Streamline platform usability
Boost learner motivation
Solution
Redesigning the platform with a focus on modern aesthetics, intuitive navigation, and an overall user-friendly experience.
Simplifying the platform's structure for effortless navigation, catering to users with diverse technological backgrounds.
Optimizing loading speeds to ensure seamless access to learning content and eliminate frustration during the learning process.
Based on the in-depth user interviews and a score of 6.5 out of 7, the UI/UX of Company X's revamped platform shows promising potential but requires further refinement before full launch.
Overall, this UI/UX case study highlights a successful initial step towards revitalizing Company X's platform. By diligently addressing the remaining 0.5 and embracing an iterative approach to user research and improvement, Company X can refine the platform into a truly exceptional learning experience for Indonesia's aspiring digital talent.
